Özet
Aim: This study was planned to adapt the Nursing Shared Decision-Making Attitude, developed by Hsu et al. (2021), into Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. Method: The methodological research was conducted between April 2023 and October 2023 with a total of 331 nurses working in a private hospital in southeastern Turkey, both through face-to-face interviews and digital platforms. After the language validity of the scale was completed, expert opinion was obtained. For the reliability of the scale, item total score correlation, internal consistency and test-retest methods were applied. Intraclass correlation analysis was applied for test-retest. Explanatory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were used for construct validity. Results: It was determined that the item loadings of the scale varied between 0.400-0.628. As a result of the analysis, two sub-factors were determined that were compatible with the original form of the scale. When the correlation between the items of the scales was examined, it was seen that it varied between r=0.370-0.650. It was observed that the correlation between the items in the sub-dimensions of the scale was also much better. In the reliability analyses, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient was found to be 0.82 for empathic communication, 0.87 for mastery learning and 0.92 for the total scale. When the sub-dimensions and total scale means were compared 15 days apart in the pre-test and post-test evaluation, it was found that there was no significance between the two means (p=0.410, p=0.700, p=0.700) and that there was a positive moderate relationship (r=0.340, r=0.390, r=0.640). Conclusion: Nursing Shared Decision-Making Attitude Scale, can be used in studies to evaluate the sharing decision-making attitude of nurses in Turkey with its 11-item, 5-point Likert-type form.
