Çevre ile ilgili olaylar tabiatta yaşayan tüm canlıları etkilemektedir. Ekolojiyi bozan ve doğaya zarar veren tüm olaylar çevre kirliliğini oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı; devlet okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, çevre eğitimi ve çevre sorunları hakkındaki görüşlerini bazı demografik değişkenler (cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, okul türü, öğrenim durumu, yaş ve branş) göz önünde bulundurarak belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2014-2015 öğretim yılında Hakkari İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı devlet okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler örneklemini ise ilköğretim; Okul Öncesi, Sınıf, Fen ve Teknoloji, Matematik, Sosyal Bilgiler, Türkçe ve İngilizce öğretmenleri ile ortaöğretim; Fizik, Kimya, Biyoloji, Matematik, Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı, Tarih, Felsefe ve İngilizce öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan 24 maddelik anket çevre eğitimi ve çevre sorunları hakkındadır. Araştırmada kullanılan anketin geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik çalışması yapılmış ve Cronbach Alpha iç güvenirlik katsayısı 0,84 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre tüm bireylere çevre eğitimi ve çevre sorunları ile ilgili eğitim verilmeli, çevre bilinci aşılanmalı, bireylerde çevre bilinci oluşturulmalı ve çeşitli kitle iletişim araçları vasıtasıyla çevre kirliliğinin ekonomiye zararları tüm bireylere anlatılmalıdır
Events related to the environment affect all living creatures in nature. All events disrupting the ecology and damaging the nature constitute environmental pollution. The purpose of this study is to reveal the views of teachers' working in public schools about environmental education and issues considering some demographic variables (gender, professional seniority, school type, level of education, age and field of study). The population of the study constitutes the teachers working in public schools under Hakkari Provincial Directorate of National Education in the academic year 2014-2015, and the sample of the study constitutes Primary Education Pre-School Teaching, Primary School Teaching, Science and Technology, Mathematics, Social Studies, Turkish and English teachers and the Secondary Education Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Turkish Language and Literature, History, Philosophy and English teachers. 24-item questionnaire used in the study is about environmental education and issues. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire used in the research were conducted and Cronbach's alpha internal reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.84. According to the results obtained from the research, it was concluded that environmental education should be provided to all individuals, environmental awareness should be instilled, and should be raised among individuals and the damage of environmental pollution to the economy should be explained to all individuals by various mass media
