Zinc concentrations showed a possible man-made influence, whereas the nickel contents reflected an ultramafic-ophiolitic origin, most probably derived from the hinterland by the seasonal influx of rivers, streams and also man-made channels in the vicinity of the Bay of Mersin. -from Authors
