In this research article, radiation absorption qualifications of the Fe–Ni alloys were explored. The mass attenuation coefficients (μρ) of FexNi1-x (x = 0.20, 0.52, 0.55, 0.61 and 0.64) alloys in different concentrations have been determined experimentally for 59.54 keV photon energy and the results were matched with μρ values of the alloys found by using WinXCOM program. The results for μρ values were consistent with each other. Half value layer (HVL), effective atomic number (Zeff) and electron density (Nel) were calculated by utilizing the μ of the alloy under study. Also, equivalent atomic numbers have been calculated for each alloys and compared with Zeff. Some differences were observed in the selected absorption parameters according to the change of the concentrations of alloys.
